Minimum Experience: 1 -2 years of direct railroad experience.
Job Description: Rail Pros Field Services is accepting applications for Railroad Flagmen to perform EIC/Flagging duties on CN, KCS and other railroads. Ideal candidates will have significant experience with similar work, such as roadmasters, signal managers, track, signal and bridge inspectors, and foremen. Candidates will be prepared to perform on-site roadway worker protection supporting both 3rd-party and railroad activities on and around live railroad tracks.The flagman is responsible for dispatcher coordination, train communication, dispatcher track and time, utilization of derail equipment, etc. Additionally, the flagman is required to perform daily job briefings with all personnel on the job site and ensure all personnel adhere to the safety requirements of the railroad.
This is an on-call, part-time position. Employment is dependent on successful passing of drug/alcohol testing, safety class, on-site training, railroad safety test, and a background check.
The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1-2 years of direct railroad experience as a flagman/EIC and be able to identify and correct safety issues on the job-site in accordance with railroad regulations. Other railroad and railroad construction experience will be considered. Flagmen must keep safety credentials up to date by attending necessary safety classes and qualifications training. Strong verbal and written communication is required.
